How is coronaviruses transmitted?
The disease can spread from person to person through small droplets or mouth that spread to the medium when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales. These droplets fall on objects and surfaces around the person. They catch the virus when other people touch their eyes, nose or mouth after contact with these objects or surfaces. People can also get COVID-19 disease if they breathe in droplets from a person coughing or exhaling covid-19s. This is why it is important to stay more than 1 meter away from a person who is sick. Studies to date show that the virus that causes COVID-19 is transmitted mainly through contact rather than through air transport.

The risk of catching COVID-19 from a person with no symptoms is very low. However, many people with COVID-19 experience only mild symptoms. This is especially true in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, it is possible to catch COVID-19, for example, from someone who has a mild cough and does not feel sick.
