Nose Tip Plasty in Turkey

Nose tip surgery (or nose tip plasty operation) is the operations performed to change the nose tip for aestehic or functional reasons without breaking or changing the bone structure. The nasal aesthetic is applied to the person with a well-formed bone structure but deformed at the tip of the nose.

Nose tip surgery is usually performed on people with thick nose, droopy nose tip, loss of angle at nose tip, malformations in nostrils, septum curves that need to be corrected, and previous nasal aesthetic surgery but nose tip plasty operation is needed.

Nose tip surgery shows a much faster recovery process than the classical nose aesthetic surgery applied to a fully troubled nasal cavity. Peripheral aesthetic swelling, bruise is less experienced. Only soft tissue and cartilage are removed to reshape the tip of the nose, and in some cases cartilage grafts (for example, cartilage from the nasal septum) can also be used. In this way, the tip of the nose can be changed in many ways. In the context of nose tip aesthetics, it is possible to both reduce and enlarge, and to raise or lower the nose tip.

It is often associated with raising the tip of the nose to shorten the nose and thus maintain a younger image. Cartilage at the tip of the nose is corrected under general anesthesia with an operation that takes an average of an hour. Since soluble stitches are used, stitch removal is not applied. It may interfere with the side cartilage to increase or decrease the protrusion at the tip as desired. Other operations include the rotation of the tip, the angle between the tip and the upper lip, the width of the tip of the nose and the holes.

The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia. After local anesthetic inflation, a 5-point skin junction is made on the columella (the part dividing the nostrils). Nasal cartilages are revealed. These are removed from the upper regions of cartilages (cephalic portions of alar cartilages). Sutures are thrown (transdomal and interdomal stitches) to narrow the angle between the inner and outer legs of the alar cartilages. Between the inner legs of the nasal cartilage cartilage, a fine cartilage graft, obtained from the septum of the nose, is placed perpendicular to the nostril support and stitched on the inner legs of the nasal cartilages. At the end of the procedure, subcutaneous tissue or cartilage grafts may be placed at the nose tip. The skin is sutured and the process is terminated. In general, cartilage curvature surgery (deviation surgery) and turbinate radiofrequency procedure are also performed. At the same time, functional and aesthetic problems can be eliminated. I do not prefer to use permanent suture material and apply additional cartilage grafts that may impair the natural appearance of the nose tip.

About The Healing Process After Nose Tip Plasty Operation

Nose tip plasty operation (or tipplasty surgery / nose type rhinoplasty / type plasty surgery) is ideal for patients who have problems only in the nose tip region (nose drop, nose tip asymmetry, large nose tip etc.). Unbuffered nose tip surgeries has become an application we have often made.

I would like to summarize the following who are waiting for you during the healing period after the nose tip plasty operation :

- Unlike rhinoplasty operation, no bone broken techniques are applied to the nasal bone. After the nose tip surgery, there is no visible jaundice, no bruising (if nasal hump reduction is performed, the bruise appears on the nose).

- Nose bandage and external nasal splint are not applied (if nasal hump removal is performed at sametime, nos ebandage can be applied).

- If septoplasty operation and turbinate radiofrequency operation for nasal breathing problems are performed during operation, silicone splint or dissolving buffer may be placed in the nose.

- As the nosebone is not touched like nose tip aesthetic surgery, the impact of the nose during sleep may not cause problems in the short term; patients with nasal aphasia are still sleeping for at least 3 weeks on the nose (position on the face).

- Glasses can be used after 2-4 weeks (please consult your physician in this regard and do not use heavy glasses, do not wear glasses in the nose tip region)

- I usually prefer open surgical nasal aesthetic surgery and all the stitches on the nose tip will spontaneously fall within 1-3 weeks.

- Moisturizing drops and spray must be applied to the nose after the procedure.

- There is an increase in nasal edema in the first week after the procedure and it usually decreases within weeks and this edema will cease to exist. Patients with thick nasal skin may have more nasal edema.

Open Technique Nose Tip Plasty Operation

It is very important to know that the swelling caused by surgery is a temporary condition where the nose appears temporarily wider and the tip is opened more and become less refined than desired. You will notice that the swelling of the nose begins to decrease within a few days. All the swelling in your nose will be greatly reduced in the first few weeks after surgery. Although most of the swelling will resolve within a few months, your nose will continue to heal for up to a year after surgery. Patients who only undergo septal surgery do not normally show significant swelling outside the nose.
